Forex Trading Education - Where To get It

It's definitely rough when you are first starting out in forex. All you are looking for is a little forex trading education, but knowing where to get it can make you pull out your hair.

Many people like to go on forum like Forex Factory. This isn't a bad idea, but I think the problem that most people have when they go to these forums is that they get a major case of information overload. You can't help it.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of forum threads, each talking about a completely different subject in the realm of forex trading.  So, you have thousands of people telling you thousands of different things.

Also, who's to know how accurate this information is.  It's not like forex forums force people to take a forex test before they can become a member.

So the information you are receiving, may be coming from somebody who has crashed their accounts a few times.  Is this somebody you really want to learn trading from?  Most likely not.

The good news is that there are some courses that are geared to helping both new and struggling traders to make some money in the forex market.

Tops on the list for not only content, but price has to be Bird Watching in Lion Country. The book is written specifically with the newbie in mind.  Written by the very highly acclaimed trader and author, Dirk Du Tolt (aka Dr. Forex), the book examines all the aspects of trading.

It goes into the technical analysis side as well as the emotional side.  It covers all the different reasons why so many people fail at trading, and what you can do, so you don't become another casualty.  The course is $69.95.

Another great choice is Forex Mentor by Peter Bain.  For those unfamiliar with the name Peter Bain, he is a very highly regarded trader, who has helped thousands succeed in the forex market.

The forex mentor course is one of the most in-depth courses you can find on the subject.  Bain leaves no stone unturned as he goes into great detail about how to trade for a living.  The course even comes with its own membership program, where you can watch Bain show you examples of trades he takes every day.

It is expensive for $349, but considering how expensive his seminars are, its a pretty good deal.

Speaking of seminars, another good course is the Forex Trading Seminar, created by Scott Schubert.  The course is broken down into 7 interactive CDs, that take you by the hand and show you how Schubert has become successful in forex.

It may not be as in depth as Forex Mentor, and a little more expensive, there is a lot of quality material here.
